DAY 1: JULIACA- PUNO
Arrival in the city of Juliaca, reception and transfer to the hotel in Puno, along the way we will visit the Chullpax of Sillustani, cylindrical tombs made of stone, where the ancient Aymaras buried their important priests. The Umayo lagoon, bordering all of the Chullpas, adds beauty to the landscape of the place, the opportunity to observe different birds and other typical species of the area. Free time to rest and acclimatize to the altitude.
DAY 2 PUNO – LAKE TITICACA
Early in the morning, transfer to the pier to embark on an unforgettable motor boat excursion on Lake Titicaca, we will visit the Floating Islands of the Uros, its inhabitants are Andean natives, who build their own islands by periodically adding new layers of reeds, they also use this material to build their houses and boats. Then we will continue to the Island of Taquile, inhabited by Quechua natives who have developed, from generation to generation, an efficient and original social system and a magnificent technique and art in weaving. After lunch at an inn in Taquile, walk through its hills and archaeological sites.
In the afternoon return to the city of Puno. Arrival and transfer to selected hotel.
DAY 3: PUNO - DEPARTURE
At the indicated time, transfer to the airport and/or respective terminal.
